We are officially 12 days away from Christmas, FA LA LA LA! And I know we're all wracking our brains for Elf on the Shelf Ideas to get through the home stretch. Here are 12 EASY Elf on the Shelf Ideas to get you to the big day.
11. Elf on the Shelf Reading to Friends
Graham got a big kick out of this one! All you need is your Elf, a fun book, and a few toy figurines. Set up your elf with a book so that it looks like he's reading to his toy "friends".
10. Elf on the Shelf Fridge Bandit
We love Elf on the Shelf ideas that require ZERO materials. Johnny came up with this one and Graham thought it was hilarious. Simply, put your elf into the fridge holding onto something tasty. We went with whipped cream!
9. Elf on the Shelf Toilet Paper Fun
This one made me LOL. Put your elf into the middle of a toilet paper roll and then roll the paper down the stairs so it looks like the Elf was rolling down the stairs in the toilet paper.
8. Elf on the Shelf Banana Art
This sh*t is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Okay, but really this one is oh so cute. Take a few bananas and draw faces on them. Pro-tip: include a note about enjoying one of the bananas for breakfast to sneak in some fruit to start the day!
7. Elf on the Shelf Snack Time
Take out one of your kids favorite snacks that comes in a bag (we did Bambas!) and put the Elf into the bag face first and spread a few pieces out around the Elf.
6. Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa Date
Put the Elf out with hot cocoa bombs or hot chocolate packets with a note to enjoy hot cocoa after dinner! We love using the Elf as an excuse for fun and festive family activities!
5. Elf on the Shelf Mask Hammock
SO 2021. Hang a mask by two knobs or on a light to create a hammock for your Elf to lay in.
4. Elf on the Shelf Marshmallow Bath
So simple and funny! Fill a bowl with marshmallows and put your Elf inside like he's taking a bath. We labeled ours with a post-it that said "Elf Bath".
3. Elf on the Shelf Wrapping Gifts
This is a great one as you're heading right into Christmas! Put your elf out like he's wrapping something funny (a toy, apple, shoe, anything!) and this put tape around the Elf to create a "mess".
2. Elf on the Shelf Sprinkle Snow Angel
I love this one as the intro to making your cookies for Santa! Pour some sprinkles on the counter (I recommend doing this on the counter right about your trash can for easy clean up) and then make a "snow angel" with your elf and leave him laying in the middle. Then, leave a note to use to the sprinkles to make special cookies for Santa!
1. Elf on the Shelf Cookies and Milk for Santa!
It's Christmas Eve! Leave the Elf out with the special cookies you made and a cute plate with a note about leaving the cookies for Santa and thanking the kids for doing such a great job while he was visiting! Here's what my note will say
It's Christmas Eve! I had so much fun living with you and can't wait to tell Santa what a great listener and good friend you are! Make sure to leave these yummy cookies out for Santa tonight. I will be going back to the North Pole with him and will miss you so much! Don't worry, I'll be watching from the North Pole and will be back to visit next year! Merry Christmas!!
